I have way too much to say about her developement over this last weekend, for a fb status update, so I decided to write a little blurb on Tumblr about it. I am so beside myself and happy with exciting news about her, I can hardly stand it!Never did I think that telling the world about my life and my child, would feel equally as exciting as my performance art life once was, and getting to update people on upcoming burlesque performances/shows/films I was working on. Okay here we go!
She has been doing the following: climbing up the stairs like grease lightening ( with me closely behind her of course),chatting with strangers and other babies, eating cheerios by carefully picking them out of a small baby food tub and feeding herself each cheerio, one by one, watching this amazing channel that I want to believe is helping her developmentally, called the Baby First channel, sometimes standing by herself ( for less than 5 seconds each time), pointing to things and calling whatever she wants a baba, and making new friends ( our neighbors), Annnnnnnd sharing her toys and cheerios with me. If any moms happen to be reading, do your kids do this? I’m not aware that they should be doing that. She will munch on a toy, then make direct eye contact with me, and reach her toy/cheerio out to my mouth to share the pleasure of toy chewing/cheerio eating with me!. I am bursting at the seams I am so excited to tell you all that she has her first playdate tomorrow at noon, with the neighbor girl, who is less than a month older than her! I can’t wait to watch them play and interact! Today at the mall, she saw a baby about her age, and she called out to get his attention, and was talking to him and his mother! I couldn’t believe it! She’s quite the friendly conversationalist! She also was making conversation with a lady that was helping us at Victoria’s Secret ( they had a sale, so sue me!… :/)!
